it's extremely obvious this isn't Jason (still dead, baby) and it's definitely the paramedic

the non-teen characters are pretty stock, too

even by franchise standards, these teens are pretty boring

I feel like I'm being faked out a lot here, they really want me to think Pinehurst is getting Jason'd but they're not showing me Jason

they're also not really on Jason's established turf

so clearly Tommy's gonna go "all these murders are Jasonings" and the Real Killer'll go "yeah that'd be a good disguise"

* Jason status: Dead.
* First kill done by somebody unrelated, just a guy who snaps, now hauled off.
* Paramedic who comes to pick up the body has a very intense reaction to seeing it? Doesn't say anything. (Victim's dad?)

A dream sequence, a timeskip. So far, Jason definitely still dead.

you know what, I'd express some Doubt about these teenagers digging up Jason, but if your only awareness of the human teenager was from this franchise, you'd go "yeah, digging up Jason Voorhees seems like the kind of thing a human teenager would do."

(they fully covered the 17th and 18th in the last one and I think this one is gonna kick off with a substantial timeskip, but you know what I mean)

Trying not to think too hard about the logistics of some of these kills, like, where Jason exists in the space, but also, you barely get the time to think too hard, anyway.
