you know what, I'd express some Doubt about these teenagers digging up Jason, but if your only awareness of the human teenager was from this franchise, you'd go "yeah, digging up Jason Voorhees seems like the kind of thing a human teenager would do."

On the one hand I think it's good for it not to be Jason, on the other hand I think it's weird that there's just a second unstoppable, unkillable killer wall of meat man.
