This is okay, but Hanks is at his most paternal, and maybe this could-a used someone with a little more edge to them?

The premise is he comes across a young girl who was on the way to being taken back to where she was kidnapped from as a baby, so, like, yeah, you go for paternal, but maybe the McConaughey mode, not the Hanks mode. I dunno.

Hanks works great as a cowboy, he can do grizzled, but I'd want a little more bite to the performance. Hugh Jackman at his most "Logan," McConaughey at his most "Interstellar."

The kid is good when she actually gets things to do.

#32, I'm about halfway through 2016 found footage documentary "Dawson City: Frozen Time."

A solid, yet ethereal look at a cache of film reels found buried below an ice rink in Dawson and the wide range of other histories it touches on, that was pretty good.

@kurt Hanks plays a guy who travels America post-Civil War to read newspapers out loud to audiences, but that's 30 years after the newspaper already exists, so maybe the Real Story here is he's a trademark infringer.
